In 2005 the Naval Museum began a school project called  Not without my language (Inte utan mitt språk) where we asked pupils with foreign backgrounds to create visitor’s brochures for the Naval Museum. The pupils were asked to emphasise what they personally considered interesting in the museum using their own texts and pictures. These folders which were also designed by the pupils themselves are the result. 

Today the Naval Museum has folders in six different languages: Arabic, Somali, Croatian, Kurdish, Bosnian and Albanian. The folders are kept in the museum for the use of our foreign visitors. 

The participating pupils and teachers belonged to the following schools: Sunnadalskolan,  Jändelskolan, Karlskrona Montessori Friskolan, Nättrabyskolan, Skrävleskolan and Wämöskolan.
