The Sunnadal method
A chance for pupils to develop and learn outside school’s four walls. This is one way to describe the Sunnadal method – one of the Naval Museum’s most successful school collaborations.
The Sunnadal method is the most talked about school collaboration undertaken by the Naval Museum. Together with Sunnadal School in Karlskrona and the cultural administration section of Karlskrona municipality, this project was started in 1999 to give the school’s pupils the opportunity to study and work in the Naval Museum during school hours.
Since then, this collaboration has built itself quite a reputation. Each year the school’s pupils work on a common drama project where the pupils use the Naval Museum as a resource and knowledge base. These theatrical endeavours are highly popular among pupils, parents and teachers and performances always get a full house.
