Daily: The Knot Shed
In the Knotting Shed, you can learn a tradition that goes back hundreds of years – the art of tying knots.
Welcome to the Naval Museum and your digital guide! Here you’ll find everything you need to explore, listen to, and experience the 500-year history of the Swedish Navy.
The visitor map helps you find your way to the exhibitions, the café, the shop, and all other parts of the museum.
Discover the exhibitions and stories about life at sea, the people, and the ships that have shaped the history of the Swedish Navy.
Explore the museum together. The family guide offers tips for fun activities and missions for both children and adults.
Every day we offer guided tours – perhaps about a 17th-century model ship or how a submarine toilet works. Listen to the stories behind the objects with our audio guide.
For families, Knopboden and the Seafarer’s Workshop offer opportunities to try traditional crafts and seafaring skills – and perhaps finish with a round of museum bingo.
Children up to and including 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult throughout the museum visit. This also applies to visits by schools, after-school programs, sports clubs, etc. Larger groups of children can be divided, but an adult must be present in each group throughout the entire museum visit.
The Naval Museum is a cash-free museum. You can pay by card or Swish at the entrance, in the shop, and in the restaurant.
You are not allowed to bring any kind of foods, ice cream or drinks into the exhibitions.
Restrooms are located in several places throughout the museum. The restrooms near the main entrance are accessible.
