Sweden stood neutral in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, but was still affected in different ways. Among other things, the Navy had an important role in clearing mines and escorting merchant ships so that goods could be transported to and from Sweden.

In the exhibition you can read extracts from the local newspaper Karlskrona-Tidningen, who reported daily about the war the situation in Sweden, the efforts of the Navy and daily life. The exhibition also includes objects, photographs and archival materials from the museum's collections, as well as a film from the year 1917.
